Procurement Officer

About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Procurement Officer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sourcing, purchasing, and managing materials and services required for construction projects. This role requires excellent negotiation skills, vendor management experience, and the ability to ensure timely procurement in line with project schedules and budgets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors for construction materials, equipment, and services.
• Prepare and issue purchase orders, contracts, and procurement documentation in compliance with company policies.
• Maintain strong relationships with vendors, monitoring performance and delivery timelines.
• Track procurement activities, manage inventory levels, and ensure timely delivery to project sites.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and site teams to understand project requirements and procurement priorities.
• Monitor market trends, pricing, and availability of construction materials to optimize cost and quality.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards in all procurement activities.
• Prepare reports on procurement status, cost savings, and supplier performance.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or Civil Engineering.
• 5–7 years of procurement experience in the construction industry.
• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Proficient in MS Office; experience with ERP systems is a plus.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
