Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the end-to-end purchasing process for all restaurant-related supplies including food ingredients, beverages, cleaning materials, and kitchen equipment.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure best pricing, quality, and timely delivery.
- Evaluate vendor performance regularly and maintain an approved supplier list.
- Coordinate closely with the restaurant management and kitchen team to identify procurement needs and forecast supply requirements.
- Prepare purchase orders, track deliveries, and ensure proper documentation and record-keeping.
- Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with the storekeeper to avoid shortages or overstocking.
- Conduct regular market research to identify new suppliers, alternative materials, and cost-saving opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and company quality standards in all purchased goods.
- Maintain accurate purchasing and expense reports for management review.
- Negotiate contracts and payment terms with vendors to optimize cost and cash flows
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
- Minimum 2–4 years of relevant experience in procurement, preferably in the hospitality or restaurant industry.
- Strong knowledge of food and beverage items, kitchen equipment, and restaurant operations.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
- Proficient in MS Office and inventory management systems.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational, and time management abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
