Procurement Officer (Joinery Production)

The Procurement Officer is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials, equipment, and services required for joinery production and interior fit-out projects. The role ensures timely delivery, cost efficiency, and compliance with project specifications and company standards. The ideal candidate must be bilingual in Arabic and English.

Key Responsibilities1. Procurement & Sourcing

  • Source and procure materials such as wood, MDF, veneers, laminates, hardware, glass, finishes, and fit-out accessories.
  • Identify and evaluate reliable suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Obtain quotations, prepare comparison sheets, and recommend cost-effective procurement solutions.

2. Vendor Management

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with local and international suppliers.
  • Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
  • Communicate effectively in both Arabic and English with vendors and internal stakeholders.
  • Monitor supplier performance to ensure quality and timely delivery.

3. Purchase Order Management

  • Prepare and issue purchase orders according to project requirements.
  • Track orders and ensure timely delivery to the factory or project sites.
  • Coordinate with warehouse, production, and project teams to ensure smooth operations.

4. Cost Control & Budgeting

  • Ensure procurement activities remain within approved project budgets.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality standards.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records, reports, and cost analyses.

5. Coordination with Internal Teams

  • Work closely with design, estimation, and production teams to understand material specifications and project needs.
  • Support project managers in meeting project timelines and procurement schedules.

6. Inventory & Logistics

  • Monitor stock levels and coordinate material replenishment.
  • Arrange logistics and delivery schedules to avoid project delays.

7. Compliance & Documentation

  • Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and contractual requirements.
  • Maintain proper documentation for approvals and audits.
  • Prepare procurement reports and correspondence in both Arabic and English when required.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of procurement experience in the fit-out, joinery, or construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of joinery materials, finishes, and hardware.
  • Fluency in Arabic and English (spoken and written) is mandatory.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and MS Office applications, especially Excel and ERP systems.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the GCC market, particularly in Qatar.

Pay: QAR7,000.00 - QAR7,500.00 per month
