A Civil Purchase Executive manages sourcing, negotiating, and buying construction materials (cement, steel, etc.) and services, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness for projects, involving vendor management, creating purchase orders (POs), tracking deliveries, maintaining records, and coordinating with site engineers to meet project timelines and budgets. Key Responsibilities
- Procurement & Sourcing: Identify, source, and evaluate suppliers for various civil materials (aggregates, RMC, tiles, etc.).
- Vendor Management: Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships, assess performance, and build an approved vendor list.
- Negotiation: Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules to achieve the best value.
- Purchase Order Management: Prepare detailed purchase orders with specifications, quantities, and terms, and process them.
- Coordination: Liaise with project managers and site engineers for material requirements and delivery.
- Quality & Compliance: Ensure procured materials meet quality standards and comply with company policies.
- Inventory & Logistics: Monitor stock levels, track orders, and expedite shipments to ensure timely arrival at site.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate purchase records, prepare comparative statements, and report on procurement activities.
- Cost Control: Analyze market trends and implement strategies for cost reduction.
