Job Summary

The Procurement / Quantity Surveyor is responsible for managing project costs, preparing estimates and BOQs, overseeing procurement processes, negotiating with suppliers and subcontractors, and ensuring cost efficiency throughout the project lifecycle. The role ensures that projects are delivered within budget while maintaining quality and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities

Cost Estimation & Budgeting

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and bills of quantities (BOQs).
  • Conduct cost analysis and feasibility studies for new projects.
  • Monitor project costs and provide regular financial reports.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.

Procurement Management

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies.
  • Prepare and issue RFQs, RFPs, and tender documents.
  • Evaluate supplier and subcontractor bids.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts.
  • Manage supplier relationships and performance.

Contract Administration

· Prepare and review contracts and subcontracts.

· Monitor contract compliance and variations.

· Assess and certify contractor payment applications.

· Manage claims, variations, and dispute resolution.

Project Cost Control

· Track project expenditures against budget.

· Conduct site visits to verify progress and quantities.

· Evaluate and approve interim valuations and final accounts.

· Maintain accurate documentation and records.

Risk & Compliance

· Identify financial and contractual risks.

· Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.

· Support audit processes when required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
  • Professional certification (e.g., RICS, CIOB) is an advantage.
  • 5–7+ years of experience in quantity surveying and/or procurement.
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts and procurement processes.
  • Proficiency in cost estimation software and MS Office (especially Excel).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: QAR3,000.00 - QAR4,500.00 per month
