Procurement Specialist

Job Location: 500 Jamison Rd Elma NY 14059 Position Type: 9 Months Contract with Possible extension Pay rate $48/hr on w2 with Benefits Education: Bachelor's degree in business administration or supply chain management or a related field is required A master's degree and/or professional certifications in business, purchasing or supply chain preferred Requirements: Over five years of sourcing and procurement experience that includes: Sourcing strategy execution The creation and negotiation of global vendor agreements Procurement including vendor management Procurement experience in Indirect categories is preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey information and collaborate with key stakeholders. Proven capability in working collaboratively within a multicultural, geographically dispersed environment. Job Description: The Procurement Specialist - Contractor is responsible for leading strategy development and the Procure to Pay (P2P) end-to-end process for assigned Indirect Procurement categories that are critical to supporting business operations across multiple business groups and global locations. Responsibilities include: Sourcing Strategy: Support existing sourcing strategies to drive cost savings and mitigate sourcing risks for assigned Indirect Procurement categories. Supplier Management: Proactively manage supplier relationships by setting clear expectations, monitoring compliance with contractual agreements, driving continuous performance improvements, and collaboratively resolving issues to ensure reliable supply and optimal cost-efficiency. Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across multiple functions and business groups to gather requirements and collaborate on procurement strategies. Contract Management: In collaboration with Contracts and Legal, prepare, review and negotiate contracts with vendors, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and legal requirements. Procure to Pay: Manage the end-to-end process to acquire goods and services. It encompasses requisition, sourcing, purchase orders, receiving, invoicing and payment.
