Procurement Team Lead - Architecture

Alexandria, Egypt

• Monitor and conduct procurement activities, as well as monitor the work of suppliers/sub-contractor to ensure compliance with all quality standards and requirements.

• Provide functional supervision over all line reports in performing their assigned tasks and allocate duties and responsibilities.

• Review the team progress reports and direct work plans to ensure alignment with the division targets.

• Participate in and supervise on implementation of the policies and procedures applicable to the Procurement Department.

• Ensure that work procedures for various activities are documented and followed.

• Assist in recommending, developing and maintaining the Procurement Department policies, procedures and standards

• Provide reports to the Procurement Manager on the performance of line reports, and propose corrective actions, if needed.

• Recommend vendor lists for each of the project items for the Procurement Manager approval in line with the Department’s policies and procedures and in coordination with SRM division, if needed.

• Review the Requests for Quotations RFQ’s issued to subcontractors/suppliers, utilizing the e-procurement and Tracking systems.

• Ensure that the quotations received from local and international subcontractors/suppliers are filed as per TPD procedures.

• Negotiate with suppliers and sub-contractors to obtain optimum quality, cost, purchase orders/Sub-contracts terms and to ensure commitment to schedules.

• Analyse price proposals, financial reports, and other data and information to determine reasonable prices.

• Prepare and /or review the submittals, purchase orders, subcontracts, comparison sheets issued by subordinates against Standard Formats, accuracy and check the reality and correctness of supporting documents, before issuance to the Procurement Manager.

• Ensure that all work is conducted according to the Procurement Department’s policies and procedures.

• Attend meetings, conferences, conventions and seminars necessary to network with others involved in the Procurement process (consultants, contractors, suppliers, etc.) to improve the Procurement Department function and effectiveness.

• Assist in solving problems and escalate the unsolved problems to the Procurement Manager for advice.

• preparing both technical and financial comparisons to determine the vendor after negotiating with suppliers and sub-contractors to obtain optimum quality, cost, terms in accordance with project requirements.

• Reviews catalogues, Internet sites, and consult with others to locate necessary goods and services to improve the TPD function and effectiveness.

• Perform other assignments as necessary to support the function/department

• Ensure working according to the company HSE policies and regulations, risk assessment and environmental aspects
