Duties

• Receive, unload, and process incoming produce shipments using RF scanners and pallet jacks, ensuring accurate inventory management and control.
• Stock shelves efficiently, organize displays, and merchandise produce items to attract customers and maximize sales.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the produce area, including cleaning shelves, bins, and equipment to meet health standards.
• Assist customers with product questions, provide exceptional customer service, and support retail sales efforts.
• Perform heavy lifting of produce boxes and crates safely while adhering to safety protocols; operate forklifts when necessary for larger shipments.
• Monitor inventory levels regularly using warehouse experience skills; communicate stock needs to management proactively.
• Support shipping & receiving processes by loading and unloading produce deliveries accurately and efficiently.
• Ensure proper packaging of produce for sale or shipment, maintaining freshness and quality standards.
• Collaborate with team members on merchandising strategies to optimize product placement and presentation.
• Conduct routine maintenance on equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts; report any issues promptly.

Experience

• Prior warehouse experience or retail grocery store background preferred but not required; training provided for the right candidate.
• Familiarity with inventory management systems, RF scanners, pallet jacks, forklifts, and shipping & receiving procedures is advantageous.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a busy environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and consistently stand or walk for extended periods during shifts.
• Knowledge of grocery store operations including stocking, merchandising, cashiering, and customer service enhances success in this role.
