Producer/Editor I

About the Role

Traxxas is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Producer/Editor I to join our in-house video production team. This is primarily a post-production role - approximately 70% of your time will be spent editing, with the remaining 30% supporting production efforts on set. You will work closely with the Senior Producer to create compelling content that supports the Traxxas brand across multiple platforms and audiences.

What You'll Do

Post-Production (Primary)

• Edit a high volume of varied content including customer tutorials, quick-start videos, social media edits, promotional videos, and behind-the-scenes footage
• Assemble rough cuts, refine sequences, and deliver polished final edits to brand standards
• Work within Adobe Premiere Pro as the primary NLE, with some projects utilizing DaVinci Resolve for editing and color grading
• Create motion graphics, lower thirds, and visual enhancements using Adobe After Effects
• Collaborate with the Senior Producer on asset management, project organization, and edit review cycles
• Support photo and graphic asset needs in post using Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
• Manage media ingest, file organization, and archiving across projects

Production Support (Secondary)

• Assist on set as needed for internal shoots at Traxxas headquarters
• Support the Senior Producer with basic camera operation, lighting setup, and audio monitoring
• Help with pre-production prep including shot list review, equipment prep, and set logistics
• Travel for production is minimal and would be communicated well in advance

What We're Looking For

Experience & Education

• 1-5 years of experience in video editing and/or video production
• A degree in Film Production, Digital Media, Communications, or a related field is preferred - but your reel speaks louder than your diploma
• A strong portfolio or demo reel is required and must be submitted with your application

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro is required
• Working knowledge of DaVinci Resolve, particularly for color workflows
• Solid After Effects skills - motion graphics, compositing, and basic animation
• Familiarity with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator and how they integrate with video post-production
• Comfortable working on macOS
• Experience with third-party plugins and tools is a plus - let us know what's in your toolkit

• Highly organized with the ability to juggle multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
• Collaborative team player who communicates clearly and takes direction well
• Self-motivated and proactive - able to ask the right questions and move work forward
• A genuine interest in RC vehicles, motorsports, or action sports is a bonus, but not required
