Job Purpose:
Product Category Director, Customer Platform is responsible for executing and building the one-to-three-year strategy that delivers a cohesive platform experience to our contracted government agency partners for all Tablets, Media, Communication products and services.
Essential Duties:
- Oversee product category to deliver on BU priorities, roadmap, and objectives.
- Facilitate a data-driven product culture that encourages innovation, experimentation and rapid iteration.
- Build strong product to customer connections (focus groups, interviews, market research) to ensure platforms are addressing the needs.
- Evangelize customer strategy and vision internally and externally to drive corporate alignment.
- Define platform requirements to maintain user consistency across all products and corporate processes (Legal, marketing, etc.)
- Develop category roadmap and manage overall product strategy in order to achieve financial and strategic growth objectives.
- Execute departmental policies, practices, and procedures that advance team members and the organization.
- Ensure product pipeline supports the company and BU strategy and goals by improving EBITDA and stakeholder value.
- Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s), competitor, and industry data and translate changes into roadmap action items to maintain the success of the category.
- Define business requirements and drive agile product development with cross-organizational teamwork.
- Oversee product team members to ensure proper documentation and communication for assigned product lines are maintained.
- Visit agency customers and attend industry shows to create relationships and promote alignment.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Collaborative leadership skills with management experience during periods of organization transition
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written
- Experience working in the government sector preferably in corrections or similar industry.
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Ability to identify and execute process optimization.
- Knowledge of RFP based procurement process with prior involvement as a purchaser or vendor.
- Ability to facilitate cross-department alignment on complicated projects with the ability to pull consensus from a group.
- Proactive mindset to anticipate and implement changes in our business.
- Experience managing the financial and operational success of multiple product lines and/or multiple departments.
- Ability to acquire and manage vendor relationships.
- Experience with payment flow and partners (processors, banks, etc..)
- Regulation and compliance knowledge and experience mitigating risk while minimizing the impact to the business
- Ability to support C2B payments as well as C2C funds transfers
- Funding would involve both money transfer but also the account funding fees for debit product
- Prepaid card experience with ability to apply it into the correctional space.
Minimum Qualifications:
- HS Diploma or GED.
- 10+ years of experience B2B Product Management experience with payment flow and partners (processors, banks, etc..)
- 5+ years of experience leading Product Management in payments field with direct reports
- Direct P&L management experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in management, Marketing, or other business-related field
- Deep knowledge in the correctional or government environment with experience at the operational and leadership levels
- Experience with product or project management
- Worked in a B2B2C business model is a plus
Physical Requirements:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to: stand, sit, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone, and a variety of office equipment.
- Occasionally, this position may need to reach, stoop, or kneel.

- $159,467.75 - $181,793.23 per year
