Product Designer (AI)

Job Title: Product Designer – AI & Digital Innovation

Location : Abu Dhabi, Onsite 4 days a week

Please note that this is a contract position for 5 months .


Role Overview

We’re looking for a Product Designer to lead the design of AI-powered digital experiences across products and services. This role sits at the intersection of design, data, and emerging technologies, with a focus on creating intuitive, trustworthy, and human-centered AI solutions.


You will work closely with a key product managers and data scientists to translate complex AI capabilities into clear, usable, and valuable customer experiences.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design end-to-end user experiences for AI-driven products (e.g. chatbots, personalization, fraud detection interfaces, recommendation systems)
  • Translate complex AI models and data outputs into intuitive, explainable user interfaces
  • Lead UX/UI design across discovery, concepting, prototyping, and delivery
  • Collaborate with data science teams to shape how AI insights are surfaced to users
  • Ensure ethical, transparent, and responsible AI design practices (e.g. explainability, bias awareness, user trust)
  • Conduct user research and usability testing, particularly around AI understanding and trust
  • Develop and evolve design systems to support AI-driven features and interactions
  • Work within banking and regulatory constraints to deliver compliant, secure experiences
  • Present design concepts and rationale clearly to senior stakeholders


Required Skills & Experience

  • 6+ years of experience in product design, UX/UI, or interaction design
  • Proven experience designing complex digital products (preferably in fintech, banking, or data-heavy environments)
  • Experience working on AI/ML-driven products or data-centric features
  • Strong ability to simplify complex systems into intuitive user experiences
  • Proficiency in design tools (Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, etc.)
  • Experience with prototyping and testing AI interactions (e.g. conversational design, adaptive interfaces)
  • Solid understanding of user-centered design principles and research methodologies
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams (data scientists, engineers)


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in conversational design (chatbots, voice interfaces)
  • Familiarity with AI concepts (ML models, LLMs, predictive analytics)
  • Background in financial services
  • Knowledge of accessibility and inclusive design practices
