Role Overview

We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Product Development Officer to assist in the research, formulation, development, and launch of new nutraceutical and supplement products. The ideal candidate should have knowledge of supplements, ingredients, market trends, and regulatory compliance within the health and wellness industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Research market trends, competitor products, and consumer demands within the supplement industry.
• Assist in developing new supplement formulations, flavors, and product concepts.
• Coordinate with vendors, manufacturers, and raw material suppliers for product development activities.
• Conduct ingredient research and evaluate product feasibility, costing, and innovation opportunities.
• Work closely with QA, regulatory, procurement, marketing, and production departments during product launches.
• Prepare product documentation including specifications, ingredient lists, claims, and technical sheets.
• Ensure all products comply with DRAP and relevant regulatory requirements.
• Monitor product trials, stability, and sampling processes.
• Assist in packaging development, label content verification, and product positioning.
• Maintain product development timelines and project trackers.
• Coordinate product testing and feedback collection for continuous improvement.
• Support the launch of new products through internal coordination and market readiness.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Biotechnology, Pharm-D, Nutrition, Chemistry, or relevant field.
• 1–3 years of experience in nutraceuticals, supplements, pharmaceuticals, or FMCG product development.
• Strong understanding of supplement ingredients and formulations.
• Knowledge of regulatory and quality standards related to nutraceutical products.
• Good communication, coordination, and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and documentation management.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and innovation-driven environment.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of sports nutrition and wellness industry trends.
• Experience with flavor development and product sampling.
• Understanding of manufacturing and packaging processes.
• Strong project management and coordination abilities.

Salary Range

PKR 80,000 – 150,000 (Depending on experience & expertise)
