Role Summary
The Product Head is responsible for managing the product lifecycle and driving business outcomes through strategic planning, product development, and supporting the sales force. This is a leadership role requiring team management, stakeholder engagement, and alignment with organizational objectives to ensure growth and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic / Managerial Responsibilities

Design and implement strategies to drive business for assigned products.

Conduct periodic reviews and update strategies to meet Business Unit objectives.

Collaborate with leadership to align product goals with organizational vision.
Core Responsibilities

Lead product planning, development, and marketing initiatives.

Ensure products meet customer needs and market demands.

Drive business growth through product enhancements and new product incubation.

Streamline processes for improved efficiency and ease of doing business.

Maintain an ideal mix of product lines and portfolio quality.

Monitor market trends and take corrective/preventive actions.

Oversee training programs for sales teams on product features and processes.

Track and review team performance against defined targets.
People Management

Set and monitor performance goals for self and team.

Identify development needs and create learning plans for team members.

Coach, mentor, and build knowledge within the team on processes, regulations, and best practices.

Risk & Internal Control

Qualifications
Knowledge & Experience

Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in any field

Preferred: Master’s degree
Experience
-
12–15 years of experience in Banking/NBFCs.

At least 8–10 years in product management and leadership roles.
