We are looking for a passionate, customer obsessed Software Product Manager to define and ship mobile software experiences on Motorola mobile phones that resonate deeply with consumers.

Responsibilities: In this role, you will

  • Work closely with the business, engineering, UX, privacy and external partner teams to define, design and ship innovative experiences.
  • Define and discover minimum viable product (MVP) for new monetizable software experiences.
  • Develop detailed, crisp business requirements and user stories that can be used to create product specifications and architecture for each software experience.
  • As the scrum product owner, work day-to-day with engineering and design teams to deliver these products on-time across Motorola devices.
  • In an agile workflow, constantly manage prioritization and trade-offs among customer experience, development and business needs.
  • Work with the consumer research team to engage with consumers to refine current products and inform new concepts.
  • Define roadmap and create buy-in for the product vision with key stakeholders
  • Identify market trends, partner with teams to identify opportunities ripe for innovation and create prototypes/proof of concepts.
  • Serve as liaison between the software organizations across various geographical locations of Motorola.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related disciplines.
  • 3 years minimum software product management experience with a total of 5-9 years of software industry experience.
  • Demonstrable experience in shipping mobile software and Android apps.
  • Familiar with AI/ML concepts, and big data technologies.
  • Experience interpreting and communicating analytics; Experience with A/B testing.
  • Agile/Scrum product development experience and familiarity with JIRA.
  • Excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to analyze and communicate technical issues, lead discussions, and influence decisions.
  • Superior presentation skills and the ability to adapt messaging to technical and non technical audiences.
  • Demonstrable teamwork skills and resourcefulness, including strong sense of ownership, urgency, and drive.
  • Self-starter and able to keep moving things forward even in the face of ambiguity and imperfect knowledge.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing solutions with a significant cloud component. Should have managed experiences driven by one of AWS/Azure/Google Cloud Platform.
  • Experience managing software applications generating significant revenue.
