Responsibilities:

1. Requirement Gathering & Analysis

  • Engage with stakeholders (business, technology, compliance, and operations) to gather and document business and functional requirements.
  • Conduct gap analysis to identify areas of improvement in current payment solutions and digital wallet offerings.
  • Define user stories, use cases, and acceptance criteria for fintech products.


2. Product & Solution Design

  • Collaborate with product owners and solution architects to design payment systems, digital wallets, and fintech solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., PCI DSS, KYC, AML, PSD2).
  • Work on API integrations between banks, payment gateways, and third-party service providers.


3. Process Mapping & Optimization

  • Develop workflow diagrams, process models, and system interaction diagrams.
  • Optimize digital payment and wallet processes to enhance user experience and operational efficiency.
  • Identify automation opportunities to reduce manual intervention.


4. Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Analyze transaction data, user behavior, and system performance to provide actionable insights.
  • Work with SQL and BI tools to generate reports on key fintech metrics (e.g., transaction success rate, fraud detection, churn rate).
  • Support risk and fraud teams in identifying suspicious activities.


5. Project Management & Stakeholder Coordination

  • Act as a liaison between business units, development teams, and third-party vendors.
  • Support Agile/Scrum teams by prioritizing the product backlog and sprint planning.
  • Ensure timely delivery of fintech projects by tracking milestones and dependencies.


6. Testing & Quality Assurance

  • Define test cases and participate in UAT (User Acceptance Testing) to validate solutions.
  • Coordinate with QA teams to ensure proper testing of digital wallet transactions, payment flows, and API integrations.
  • Identify and escalate defects or performance issues in the payment systems.


7. Compliance & Security

  • Ensure adherence to local and international fintech regulations, including anti-money laundering (AML) and know-your-customer (KYC) guidelines.
  • Work closely with cybersecurity teams to identify and mitigate payment fraud risks.


8. Continuous Improvement & Market Research

  • Stay updated on emerging trends in fintech, blockchain, BNPL (Buy Now Pay Later), and digital banking.
  • Analyze competitors’ payment solutions and recommend enhancements.
  • Provide strategic input to improve product offerings and customer engagement.



Qualifications & Experience:

1. Knowledge:

  • Experience in enterprise architecture, solution architecture, or software development, preferably in Cash, Payments and Digital Wallet.
  • Translate business needs into functional requirements to design seamless cash wallet and digital payment solutions that enhance user experience and financial inclusion.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze, document, and optimize digital banking processes, ensuring compliance, scalability, and innovation.
  • Drive data-driven insights and product enhancements across fintech ecosystems, enabling smarter, faster, and more secure financial transactions.


2. Technical Skills:

  • Skilled in BRD, FRD, and user story development using Jira, Confluence, and Visio to translate business and regulatory needs into technical deliverables.
  • Proficient in API analysis, data mapping, and third-party system integrations across payment gateways, digital wallets, and core banking platforms.
  • Experienced in UAT planning, end-to-end process validation, and compliance alignment with CB regulations, AML/KYC, and CBE digital payment frameworks.

3. Education:

  • University Degree in Telecommunication, Engineering, Business Administration.


4. Experience:

  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience consistent with the above knowledge and skills.


5. Language Proficiency:

  • Perfect Command of English language (written & spoken).


6. Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong communication skills to interact with business stakeholders and technical teams.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Experience in leading cross-functional teams and vendor management.
