We are looking for a highly capable Product Manager / Project Manager who can help drive both product definition and cross-functional execution in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

This is a hybrid role for a professional who is equally comfortable translating business needs into well-defined product requirements and managing projects through delivery. The ideal candidate will bring a strong blend of product thinking, operational discipline, stakeholder management, and execution excellence.

Position Summary

The Product Manager / Project Manager will serve as a key bridge between business, operations, clients, and technology. This role is responsible for gathering and documenting requirements, writing user stories, supporting product planning, and ensuring projects are executed effectively from concept through launch.

This individual will work closely with internal stakeholders, external partners, and the technology team to deliver high-quality solutions that align with business goals, operational needs, and member experience priorities.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, analytical, and comfortable managing multiple initiatives in a regulated and evolving healthcare-related environment.

Key Responsibilities

Product Management

  • Partner with business, operations, client-facing teams, and technology to translate strategic objectives into clear product and system requirements.
  • Gather, analyze, and document business, functional, and non-functional requirements for new products, features, enhancements, and integrations.
  • Create and maintain detailed requirements documents, workflows, process maps, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Serve as a liaison between stakeholders and technology teams to ensure business needs are clearly understood and effectively implemented.
  • Support the product roadmap by helping prioritize initiatives based on business value, member experience, operational impact, and technical feasibility.
  • Build a strong understanding of user needs through collaboration with internal teams, client feedback, market trends, and data insights.
  • Help define and launch new capabilities that create measurable value for members, clients, and internal operations.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering and QA teams throughout the software development lifecycle to ensure successful execution.

Project Management

  • Lead cross-functional projects from initiation through implementation, ensuring timelines, deliverables, dependencies, and ownership are clearly defined and actively managed.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, status reports, issue logs, risk trackers, and communication plans.
  • Coordinate across teams to ensure alignment on scope, requirements, testing, implementation, and launch readiness.
  • Monitor project progress and proactively identify, escalate, and help resolve risks, blockers, and dependencies.
  • Facilitate recurring meetings including project reviews, stakeholder updates, planning sessions, and implementation check-ins.
  • Ensure timely communication of project status, milestones, risks, and key decisions to stakeholders and leadership.

Quality, Testing & Delivery

  • Participate in and support test planning, execution, validation, and issue resolution to ensure delivered solutions meet business requirements and user expectations.
  • Partner with development teams to clarify requirements, answer questions, and support delivery throughout the build process.
  • Help drive successful implementation and rollout of new features, enhancements, and operational workflows.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Identify opportunities to improve internal processes, workflows, and business systems to support operational efficiency and scalability.
  • Work closely with leadership to align product and project execution with broader company initiatives and strategic priorities.
  • Prepare and present executive-level summaries, project updates, roadmap discussions, and PowerPoint presentations.
  • Build strong working relationships across cross-functional teams and external partners to ensure alignment and momentum.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in product management, project management, business analysis, or a related hybrid role.
  • Proven experience gathering detailed requirements, documenting workflows, and writing user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Experience leading cross-functional technology or software-related projects from concept through delivery.
  • Strong understanding of Agile and Scrum principles and experience working closely with engineering and QA teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple initiatives, stakeholders, and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience preparing executive summaries, presentations, and stakeholder communications.
  • Ability to work independently and drive progress with minimal supervision.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in healthcare, wellness, Medicaid, Medicare, health plan, payer, or regulated environments strongly preferred.
  • Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet, Lucidchart, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
  • CSPO, PMP, Scrum Master, or similar certification preferred.
  • Previous experience leading projects, implementations, or cross-functional teams.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
