Immediate Hiring - Production Coordinator
JOB PURPOSE
Work closely with the Production Manager to accept jobs into production having sought client & management’s approvals and coordinate with production & project management team from design to delivery maintaining quality control checks at various stages of production.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordination
- Report directly to the Production Manager for all production related matters.
- Coordinate and finalize with Production Manager/Foreman for optimization of production plan for the assigned projects.
- Ensure production staff are fully aware of process condition required for quality results.
- Coordinate with concerned departments i.e. project management/sales/design/printing/graphics/production/installation/logistics/drawings for various clarifications, design changes as per client’s requirement and discuss the same with the foreman.
- Follow up with foreman on daily basis for project progress, quality controls and production schedule to ensure that it meets the client’s specifications, deadlines and quality standards.
- Provide installation team with all the required documents, drawings etc. and brief them of the installation details in a proper and timely manner.
- Coordinate for manpower requirements for installations.
- Ensure Mockups & take approvals of sales reps/clients.
Production Process
- Manage all processes of in-house production.
- Accept job bags from Production Manager with confirmed client approval (failing which job bag to be returned) and execute production.
- In coordination with Production Manager, systematically schedule job bags based on deadline and in-house time, space, shift availability.
- Follow up with sales coordinator/Project coordinators to ensure client satisfaction on job delivered.
Planning
- In coordination with Production Manager & Project Manager, place the order for raw materials with procurement team and follow up for the receipt of the same.
- Plan in advance for ordering of spare parts for machines and tools.
- Review planning for jobs, shift, machine allocation at the beginning of the work as per given product requirement, production and control plan.
- Proactively plan for packing of finished goods.
Shift Management
- Plan production jobs to match with optimum utilization of workforce & materials by monitoring workers attendance and line balancing.
- Store completed jobs with delivery orders in appropriate designated area to ward off effect of humidity, dust and mishandling.
- Ensure general and preventive maintenance to get uninterrupted utility of all production related equipment.
- Maximize production output by using all the resources available during the specified time and reduction of wastage
- Ensure well maintained work area at the beginning and end of the work.
- Ensure all workers are following Health and Safety guidelines in the shift.
Miscellaneous
- Always co-operate with all departments of the company within the limitation of the scope of work.
- Handle petty cash for food allowance for workers on overtime as and when required.
- Resolving grievances of floor staff in coordination with HR and department manager.
- Resolving disciplinary issues of floor staff in coordination with HR and department manager.
- Carry out any other assigned task as directed by Direct Manager/Operations Manager/Management.
- Adherence to company’s standards, policies and rules & regulations.
- Participate in the HSE related activities
- Report in case of any unsafe act or conditions occur inside the work premises
- Carry out any activity in such a way it does not create any unsafe condition to co worker
- Be responsible for own safety and others safety as well
- Use Safety Personal Protective Equipment
MIN QUALIFICATIONS/ SKILLSET
- B Tech in Civil Engineering
- Ability to manage the entire production process from end to finish as per company’s standards and customers satisfactions.
- Ability to maintain accurate records of production, materials and labor costs to assist in planning or pricing jobs as well as preparing accurate cost estimates of printing jobs.
- Ability to assessing the need for specialized equipment, materials, or production techniques to meet a client’s needs.
- Excellent scheduling and prioritizing ability to meet fluctuating production demands taking into consideration limitation of staff/availability of equipment.
- Motivating floor staff towards achievement of production targets. Ability to resolve issues (departmental & interdepartmental).
- Ability to work independently, with minimal direct supervision
- Knowledge of the practices and procedures involved in contracting out printing jobs.
- Minimum of 2-4 years of relevant experience preferably in a production house dealing with production of kiosks, podiums, exhibition stands etc.
- Freshers with B- Tech in Civil Engineering can apply.
