- We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Production Engineer with a background in Mechanical Engineering to oversee our signage and advertising production facility. The ideal candidate will manage the end-to-end production process—from job order intake to final delivery—ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
This role requires strong knowledge of signage fabrication (metal, acrylic, wood, LED, flex, and digital printing), production workflows, and team leadership to drive efficiency and innovation.
Key ResponsibilitiesProduction & Operations Management
- Plan, schedule, and oversee all production activities for signage and advertising projects (indoor/outdoor signage, 3D letters, acrylic works, vehicle branding, wayfinding systems, etc.).
- Allocate resources, manpower, and materials effectively to meet deadlines.
- Monitor machine operations (CNC, laser cutting, channel letter bending, welding, painting, printing, etc.).
- Ensure efficient utilization of raw materials, reducing wastage and controlling production costs.
- Implement production KPIs to track output, quality, and timelines.
Technical & Engineering Duties
- Review technical drawings, design files, and client specifications, translating them into practical production plans.
- Provide technical guidance on fabrication methods, material selection, and structural integrity of signage.
- Troubleshoot production issues related to fabrication, machine calibration, or installation feasibility.
- Collaborate with the design and project management teams to ensure technical accuracy and manufacturability.
Team Leadership & Coordination
- Supervise and manage production staff including fabricators, welders, painters, printers, and installers.
- Assign tasks and monitor staff performance, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
- Conduct training and upskilling sessions for workers on machinery and fabrication techniques.
- Act as a bridge between sales, design, procurement, and installation teams for smooth project execution.
Quality & Safety
- Enforce quality control measures to ensure finished signage meets company and client standards.
- Inspect finished products before delivery/installation for accuracy and durability.
- Ensure compliance with workplace safety protocols and UAE regulations.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized production facility.
Procurement & Vendor Management
- Coordinate with suppliers for timely procurement of raw materials (acrylic, aluminum, LEDs, vinyl, paints, etc.).
- Negotiate with vendors for better pricing and delivery timelines.
- Maintain inventory levels and track consumption trends.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent technical qualification).
- Experience: Minimum 5–7 years in production/fabrication management (preferably signage/advertising, metal fabrication, or related industries).
- Strong technical knowledge of materials (aluminum, steel, acrylic, LED, vinyl, etc.) and fabrication techniques.
- Hands-on experience with CNC routers, laser cutting machines, channel bending machines, and large-format printers is a plus.
- Excellent leadership and people-management skills.
- Ability to handle multiple projects under tight deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in production software, AutoCAD/technical drawing review, and MS Office.
- Good communication in English (Arabic/Hindi/Urdu is an advantage).
