Production Engineer

Job Title: Production Engineer – Wood & Steel Furniture Manufacturing

Department: Production / Manufacturing

Reports To: Production Manager / Plant Head

Location: Qatar

Job Purpose:

To plan, coordinate, and optimize production processes for wood and steel furniture manufacturing, ensuring quality, efficiency, and safety while meeting production targets and delivery schedules.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Production Planning & Control

• Develop daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules based on orders and capacity.

• Monitor production progress and ensure timely completion of jobs.

• Coordinate between design, procurement, and quality departments to avoid bottlenecks.

2. Process Optimization

• Analyze manufacturing processes for wood and steel furniture (cutting, welding, bending, assembly, finishing, polishing, powder coating, etc.).

• Implement lean manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives to minimize waste and downtime.

• Standardize work instructions and improve workflow efficiency.

3. Quality Assurance

• Ensure furniture is produced as per design specifications and quality standards.

• Work with the QA team to identify root causes of defects and implement corrective actions.

• Conduct process audits and ensure adherence to ISO or other quality systems.

4. Resource Management

• Supervise and train production operators and technicians.

• Ensure optimal utilization of manpower, machines, and materials.

• Maintain records of production data, maintenance schedules, and performance metrics.
