Job Summary

The Mill Floor Assistant supports daily rolling mill activities by ensuring smooth material flow, assisting operators, maintaining cleanliness, and performing basic tasks around the mill floor. This role requires physical strength, alertness, and a strong focus on safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist mill operators with material handling during rolling operations.
• Guide steel bars, billets, or products safely through designated channels.
• Maintain cleanliness and remove scrap from the mill floor.
• Help in aligning materials and preparing equipment areas before operation.
• Report any equipment abnormalities or unsafe conditions immediately.
• Support minor maintenance tasks under supervision.
• Wear required PPE and follow all mill safety procedures.
• Coordinate with production teams to ensure smooth workflow.

Requirements

• Basic education; industrial or steel plant experience preferred.
• 1–2 years of experience working in manufacturing or heavy industry environments.
• Physically strong and able to work in hot, high-noise conditions.
• Ability to follow instructions and work closely with operators and supervisors.
• Strong awareness of safety protocols in production zones.
