Job Summary

The Production Engineer is responsible for planning, supervising, and optimizing manufacturing processes related to steel structures and metal works to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and schedule production activities based on project timelines.
  • Review shop drawings and coordinate with engineering and estimation departments.
  • Supervise fabrication, welding, cutting, drilling, and assembly processes.
  • Monitor productivity, material usage, and reduce wastage.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards and safety regulations.
  • Coordinate with procurement for raw materials and consumables.
  • Conduct daily production meetings and prepare progress reports.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency.
  • Ensure proper maintenance and utilization of machinery and equipment.
  • Support factory inspections and client audits when required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
  • 3–8 years of experience in steel structure fabrication or metal works manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of fabrication drawings and welding standards.
  • Experience in factory production planning and process control.
  • Familiar with ERP systems and production tracking tools.
