Production Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically proficient Production Engineer to join our manufacturing team. This role is primarily based within the workshop environment, focusing on the direct oversight of fabrication, assembly, and production processes. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between engineering designs and physical execution, ensuring that all oil and gas equipment is manufactured to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Workshop Supervision: Spend the majority of the working day on the shop floor to monitor production progress, provide technical guidance to the fabrication team, and ensure adherence to the production schedule.
• Technical Drawing Interpretation: Demonstrate expert proficiency in reading and interpreting complex engineering drawings, including P&IDs, Isometrics, and structural layouts.
• Production Planning: Coordinate daily assignments for technicians and welders, ensuring that resources are optimized and project milestones are met.
• Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve technical bottlenecks or fabrication errors immediately on the workshop floor to minimize downtime.
• Reporting: Maintain accurate production logs and provide regular updates to the Production Manager regarding material usage, labor hours, and project status.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering.
• Experience: A minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in a production or fabrication workshop environment, preferably within the Oil & Gas sector.
• Technical Expertise: Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Familiarity with welding processes, machining, and assembly of pressure vessels or skid-mounted units.
• Physical Presence: Ability and willingness to remain in a workshop environment for the duration of the shift.
• Communication: Strong command of English; ability to communicate technical instructions clearly to a diverse workforce.

Job Type: Full-time
