About This Role
The Production Manager role helps to organize and oversee the manufacturing of goods. We expect you to have deep know-how in production procedures. Ability to direct personnel towards maximum performance will set you apart as a leader. Your day-to-day oversight of staff scheduling, product runs and inventory allotment is essential to this role, as well as directing the production aspects of the manufacturing operations. You will work directly with with the Plant Manager to ensure timely and efficient production.
IMPORTANT: This position is based in Seattle, however you will be responsible for assisting in our production manufacturing plants (Seattle and Newark, CA) and some travel is required.
Qualifications
- Review processing schedules and production orders to make decisions concerning inventory requirements, staffing requirements, work procedures, or duty assignments, considering budgetary limitations and time constraints.
- Inspects machines and equipment to ensure specific operational performance and optimum utilization.
- Reviews production and operating reports and resolves operational, manufacturing and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays
- Direct or coordinate production, processing, distribution, or marketing activities of industrial organizations.
- Implement production tracking/quality control systems, analyzing production, quality control, maintenance, or other operational reports to detect production problems.
- Review operations and confer with technical or administrative staff to resolve production or processing problems.
- Prepare and maintain production reports or personnel records
- Set and monitor product standards, examining samples of raw products or directing testing during processing, to ensure finished products are of prescribed quality
- Ensure all materials, labor, or equipment are used efficiently to meet production targets
- Initiate or coordinate inventory or cost control programs
- Coordinate or recommend procedures for facility or equipment maintenance or modification, including the replacement of machines
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or Associates in Business Management or Manufacturing or an equivalent of experience and education combined.
- 5 + years of manufacturing experience
- 3+ years of management and supervisory skills
- Familiar with hydraulics, pneumatics, controls etc.
- Advanced math and basic computer skills
- Familiar with hydraulics, pneumatics, DC drives, AC drives, Electrical and Electrical controls etc.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw conclusions
- Demonstrated time management and planning skills
- Strong verbal communication
- Excellent listening skills
- Ability to work as part of a team
- High level of integrity and work ethic
- Valid driver’s license
Preferred:
- Construction industry experience and knowledge
- Previous experience in cold rolled steel products
Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
