JOB DESCRIPTION:
A Production and Manufacturing Follow-Up (Coordinator) job in the doors and facade industry bridges the gap between design, factory production, and on-site installation. The role ensures that custom-engineered products (aluminum, glass, timber) are manufactured on time, to specification, and within budget.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Production Planning & Scheduling: Develop, maintain, and adjust detailed production plans and work orders, ensuring workflow meets project deadlines and site installation schedules.
· Factory-to-Site Coordination: Act as the liaison between the workshop (assembly, fabrication) and on-site installation teams, tracking the progress of door and facade components from raw materials to final delivery.
· Documentation & Technical Follow-up: Review shop drawings, Bill of Materials (BOM), and material submittals against project specifications. Utilize software like AutoCAD or ERP systems to track revisions.
· Inventory & Material Management: Monitor raw material inventory levels (aluminum profiles, glass panes, hardware) to prevent production delays.
· Quality Control & Non-Conformance Tracking: Monitor the quality of fabricated panels, frames, and glazing, identifying defects and ensuring corrective actions are taken before shipment.
· Progress Reporting: Prepare daily or weekly reports on production, project milestones, and any delays for management and stakeholders.
· Troubleshooting: Address on-site issues (e.g., wrong measurements, damaged parts) by coordinating with the design and production teams to fix the issues.
