Production Planning Manager

We are currently seeking a Production Planning Manager for our global business partner operating in the food industry.

Job Description

Own and manage capacity and inventory planning models.

Develop and maintain Master Production Schedules (MPS) in line with customer demand and capacity constraints.

Revise production plans based on order changes to ensure customer satisfaction.

Manage and improve MRP processes to support effective production planning.

Ensure timely and accurate release of purchase requisitions for raw materials, packaging materials, bulk, and finished goods.

Prepare, update, and distribute weekly and daily production and material requirement plans.

Collaborate with Production and Technical teams to optimize plant and workforce utilization.

Prepare and update shipment schedules and communicate any delays or changes to relevant stakeholders.

Respond to planning-related customer inquiries in a timely and accurate manner.

Monitor and manage production planning KPIs.

Ensure team performance and efficiency in alignment with company policies and operational standards.

Support team development in coordination with Human Resources, ensuring proper training and competency development.

Ensure compliance with quality, food safety, occupational health & safety, and environmental standards.

Promote a strong safety culture and contribute to the prevention of workplace incidents.

Take on additional responsibilities as required by the role.

Qualifications & Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (e.g., Industrial, Chemical, Food Engineering, etc.)

Minimum 5 years of relevant experience

Strong command of English

Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint)

Experience with SAP

Strong planning and managerial skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

High level of self-discipline and accountability

Strong analytical thinking abilities
