Production Planning Section Head

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Production Planning Section Head to lead and manage production planning activities to ensure efficient operations, optimal inventory levels, and timely product delivery. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing production schedules, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and improving planning processes to support business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and manage production plans based on sales forecasts, inventory levels, and operational capacity.
• Monitor production schedules and ensure timely execution to meet customer demand.
• Coordinate with procurement, warehouse, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to ensure material availability.
• Analyze production capacity, bottlenecks, and resource utilization to improve operational efficiency.
• Track KPIs related to production planning, inventory accuracy, and service levels.
• Ensure optimal inventory levels while minimizing excess stock and shortages.
• Prepare and present production and planning reports to management.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives within planning and production processes.
• Supervise and mentor the production planning team.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field.
• 5–8 years of experience in production planning, manufacturing, or supply chain operations.
• Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of MRP, ERP systems, and production planning methodologies.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
