Position Summary:
The Production Scheduler supports aerospace processing operations by developing, coordinating, and maintaining detailed production schedules that ensure on‑time delivery, efficient workflow, and compliance with stringent aerospace quality requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain daily/weekly production schedules for aerospace processing operations.
- Prioritize work orders based on delivery deadlines, customer requirements, and available capacity.
- Monitor job progress and adjust schedules to accommodate urgent orders, machine downtime, staffing constraints, or process rework.
- Ensure processing steps are sequenced according to aerospace specifications (NADCAP, OEM standards).
- Analyze backlog, capacity loads, and takt time to identify bottlenecks and recommend solutions.
- Serve as the primary liaison between operations, customer service, and quality regarding scheduling status.
- Communicate schedule changes, delays, and priority shifts clearly and promptly.
- Collaborate with production leads to ensure resource availability.
- Attend daily/weekly production meetings and provide status updates.
- Maintain accurate job status in the ERP/MRP system.
- Track on‑time delivery (OTD) performance, queue levels, throughput rates, and aging orders.
- Generate reports for leadership on schedule performance, capacity utilization, and risk areas.
- Ensure all schedule data meets audit requirements for aerospace processing.
Qualifications:
- 2–5 years of experience in production scheduling, planning, or coordination (preferably in aerospace, manufacturing, or processing).
- Strong understanding of aerospace processing flows (e.g., chemical processing, heat treating, machining, coatings, NDT).
- Proficiency with ERP systems.
- Excellent communication, organization, and time‑management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and adjust schedules quickly.
- Solid analytical skills and data accuracy.
- H.S. Diploma required.
