At Amphenol Middle East, the Production Planner plays a critical role in aligning customer demand, production capacity, and material availability to ensure reliable delivery and operational excellence. This role is responsible for developing, executing, and monitoring production plans that support business objectives in a high-mix manufacturing environment.
The Production Planner serves as a key link between Sales, Operations, Supply Chain, and Engineering, translating forecasts and customer requirements into executable production schedules. By optimizing capacity utilization, improving plan adherence, and strengthening on-time delivery performance, this role directly supports customer satisfaction and long-term business growth at our Sharjah facility.

Knowledge / Skills:
  • Strong understanding of production planning, master scheduling, and capacity management in a manufacturing environment
  • Proven ability to translate demand forecasts into executable production plans
  • Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems, preferably Epicor
  • Familiarity with bill of materials (BOM), routings, and manufacturing workflows
  • Ability to analyze machine, labor, and shift capacity to support planning decisions
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional teams to align production priorities
  • Strong analytical skills to identify risks, constraints, and improvement opportunities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills under time pressure
Qualifications / Education / Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience
  • 3–5 years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or manufacturing operations
  • Experience working in an industrial or manufacturing environment
  • Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems
  • Strong analytical and data management skills
  • Detail-oriented with high accuracy standards
  • Experience with continuous improvement methodologies preferred
Duties / Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain monthly, weekly, and daily production plans based on approved forecasts and customer demand
  • Determine what to produce, in what quantities, and on which dates in alignment with business priorities
  • Create and manage master production schedules (MPS) aligned with capacity and inventory targets
  • Analyze machine, labor, and shift capacities to identify constraints and opportunities
  • Provide planning inputs for overtime, outsourcing, and capital investment decisions
  • Coordinate Sales–Production–Supply Planning (S&OP) activities
  • Release, manage, and track work orders through the Epicor system
  • Monitor production progress and proactively adjust schedules to address risks
  • Perform plan vs. actual performance analysis and recommend corrective actions
  • Track and report key KPIs including Plan Adherence and On-Time Delivery
  • Collaborate with Procurement, Warehouse, Engineering, and Quality teams to ensure material availability
  • Lead or participate in daily and weekly production planning meetings
  • Identify and resolve scheduling conflicts, material shortages, and delivery risks
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to planning and scheduling
Physical/Environmental Requirements:
Office and on-site manufacturing facility environment. Regular presence on the production floor. The employee must be able to sit, stand, walk, and use hands to operate standard office and production systems. Occasional lifting of materials up to 25 pounds may be required.
