Production & Social Media Assistant (1+ yr exp req)

Job Title: Production & Social Media Assistant
Location: Oceanside, Ca - IN PERSON
Compensation: $24–$25/hour
Type: Part-Time 20-30 hours a week

You'll work closely with the owner and our Production Manager to bring compelling stories and content to life across our social channels, helping expand our reach and deepen our community connection.

Assist the Production Manager in day-to-day content creation and workflow management.

Edit vlogs, Reels, TikToks, YouTube videos, and podcast clips with strong storytelling flow.

Assist with camera setup, lighting, and audio equipment during filming days

Organize and archive digital assets (footage, thumbnails, audio, b-roll, etc.) for easy access.

Draft, and schedule content across social media platforms using approved scheduling tools.

Research trending topics, sounds, and hashtags to support content strategy.

Cut and format podcast clips for multi-platform promotion (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube Shorts, etc.)

Create captions, and titles optimized for SEO and engagement.

Support on-set filming needs, including behind-the-scenes capture and live-stream prep.

Collaborate with creative, marketing, and product teams to align visuals and messaging with brand voice.

Track analytics and performance data for posts to identify what’s performing best.

Maintain awareness of current digital trends and propose creative ideas to increase reach.

Assist with uploading and managing YouTube descriptions, tags, and timestamps.

Help coordinate production calendars, deadlines, and deliverables.

Ensure all final exports meet platform specifications and brand quality standards.

Ideal Skills

• Proficiency with editing software (Davinci Resolve and CapCut preferred—- whatever we use here miles).

• Familiarity with DSLR and mirrorless cameras, mics, and lighting equipment

• Working knowledge of SEO, hashtags, and keyword optimization for YouTube and Instagram

• Basic graphic design skills (Canva or Adobe Photoshop)

• Strong sense of pacing, tone, and storytelling in short-form video

• Highly organized, proactive, and adaptable to fast-changing priorities

• Passion for creative storytelling, social media, and brand growth

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $24.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
