Production Specialist - Embroidery Machine Operator

Job Summary

Southern Printing is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Embroidery Machine Operator to run our commercial multi-head Tajima embroidery machine in a fast-paced production environment.

We produce apparel for businesses, schools, teams, and organizations across the Mississippi Gulf Coast, and our embroidery department plays a critical role in delivering high-quality finished products to our customers.

The ideal candidate is organized, efficient, and calm under pressure, with the ability to manage multiple jobs while maintaining consistent quality.

Prior embroidery experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate with strong production and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate commercial multi-head Tajima embroidery machine
• Hoop garments accurately and consistently
• Prepare garments and backing for embroidery runs
• Monitor machine during production and troubleshoot thread breaks or minor issues
• Trim finished garments and ensure quality control
• Maintain organized workflow for embroidery jobs
• Communicate with production team regarding job priorities and deadlines
• Maintain a clean and organized work area around the embroidery equipment
• Assist with other light production tasks when embroidery runs are complete

Qualifications

Preferred:

• Experience operating commercial embroidery machines (Tajima, Barudan, SWF, etc.)

OR

• Experience in manufacturing, production, printing, or textile work

Required qualities:

• Highly organized and detail-oriented
• Able to manage multiple jobs and deadlines
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment
• Mechanically inclined and comfortable with equipment
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
• Able to stand for extended periods and lift boxes of garments

Pay: $33,280.00 - $42,000.00 per year
