Production Supervisor

Jeddah, Saudi Arabia

Job Purpose:

Responsible for the supervising & control of industrial production process, Overseeing & organizing the work of the employee During his shift in the production areas.



Key Accountabilities:

Strategic

  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement changes to enhance overall production efficiency and product quality.
  • Problem Solving: Address and resolve issues that arise during the production process, whether related to equipment malfunctions, quality concerns, or workforce challenges.
  • Adherence to Safety Regulations: Implement and enforce safety protocols and standards to create a secure working environment. Ensure compliance with occupational safety and health regulations.

Operational

  • Operational Efficiency: Optimize production processes to enhance efficiency and minimize waste. Identify areas for improvement and implement measures to streamline operations.
  • Production Planning and Scheduling: Develop production schedules to meet demand while considering factors such as raw material availability, equipment capacity, and workforce capabilities.
  • Quality Control: Monitor and enforce quality control measures to ensure that food products meet specified standards and regulatory requirements. Address any deviations or issues promptly.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee and manage inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods. Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams to maintain an efficient supply chain.
  • Strong Documentation and Analytical Skills: Maintain accurate records of production activities, including output, breakdowns and down times, and any incidents to generate interactive reports for the team and management as needed.

People

  • Communication and Collaboration: Foster effective communication within the production team and collaborate with other departments such as quality control, logistics, and Maintenance to address cross-functional issues.
  • Analytical thinking with a high level of different analytical tools related to operation perspective.



Communication & Working Relationships:

Internal Communication: Quality, Safety, Maintenance, Procurement, planning & warehouse.

External Communication: Suppliers & manufacturing companies.


Qualifications, Experience, & Skills:

Academic and professional qualifications:

Acquire BA. Or B.Sc., of Veterinary, or agriculture, Food Processing.

Experience:

5+ years of experience preferably in FMCG (Food).


Performance Measures:

  • Achieving the Production volume & compliance as per the production plan & the budget
  • RPMU (CPM) customer complains/ Million
  • Cost saving &Manpower optimization
  • Drive uplift in safety awareness through near miss/hazard reports for all members of Production operators & workers for meat factory
  • Develop and agree the MANEX implementation
  • In factory training, arrange and present the sessions for the team Co-own and implement
  • Capability development plan (approved) for front lines and functional team
