Production supervisor

Key Responsibilities

Production Operations

· Supervise daily dairy and juice production activities (milk processing, pasteurization, fermentation, juice extraction, blending, filling, and packaging)

· Ensure production schedules are met with optimal use of manpower, materials, and equipment

· Monitor processing parameters such as temperature, time, pressure, and hygiene controls

Quality & Food Safety

· Ensure compliance with food safety standards (HACCP, GMP, ISO, FSSAI/USDA/FDA as applicable)

· Conduct routine quality checks and ensure corrective actions for deviations

· Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of equipment and production areas (CIP/SIP systems)

Team Supervision

· Lead, train, and motivate production operators and technicians

· Assign duties, manage shifts, and monitor employee performance

· Enforce safety rules and proper use of PPE

Equipment & Maintenance

· Coordinate with maintenance teams for preventive and breakdown maintenance

· Ensure proper operation of pasteurizers, homogenizers, fillers, chillers, and other processing equipment

· Minimize downtime and improve equipment efficiency

Documentation & Reporting

· Maintain production records, batch logs, and quality reports

· Track wastage, yields, and production efficiency

· Report daily production performance to management

Continuous Improvement

· Identify opportunities to improve productivity, quality, and cost efficiency

· Support implementation of process improvements and new product trials

· Product complaint investigation and root cause identification and implementation of CAPA.

· Strong knowledge of dairy and juice processing technology

· Understanding of food safety and quality systems

· Leadership and people management skills

· Problem-solving and decision-making abilities

· Basic computer skills (production reports, ERP systems)

· Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure

Qualifications

· Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Dairy Technology, Food Technology, or a related field

· 3–5 years of experience in dairy or beverage production, with supervisory experience preferred

· Production output vs. plan

· Product quality and rejection rates

· Equipment downtime

· Compliance with food safety audits

· Labor productivity and wastage control

Work Environment

· Manufacturing plant / processing facility

· Shift-based work, including nights or weekends

· Exposure to cold rooms, wet areas, and food-grade chemicals

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: QAR5,000.00 - QAR6,500.00 per month
