Job Summary

The Production Supervisor will be responsible for managing end-to-end production of bridal couture orders, from order issuance to final dispatch, ensuring the highest standards of quality, craftsmanship, timelines, and coordination across departments. This role requires deep understanding of couture production, embroidery processes, tailoring, and strict deadline management for bespoke and made-to-order bridal wear.

Key Responsibilities

Order & Production Management

• Oversee the complete lifecycle of bridal couture orders from order confirmation and issuance to final dispatch
• Break down orders into detailed production plans including fabric, embroidery, tailoring, finishing, and quality checks
• Ensure production schedules are aligned with delivery timelines, especially for time-sensitive bridal orders
• Monitor daily production progress and proactively resolve delays or bottlenecks

Coordination & Workflow

• Coordinate closely with design, sampling, embroidery (in-house & outsourced), tailoring, finishing, and QC teams
• Issue work orders, job cards, and embroidery layouts with clear instructions
• Follow up with karigars, vendors, and internal teams to ensure smooth workflow
• Manage multiple orders simultaneously while maintaining priority for urgent or high-value bridal pieces

Quality Control

• Ensure all garments meet couture quality standards, including fit, finish, embroidery accuracy, and construction
• Conduct in-process and final quality checks before dispatch
• Ensure adherence to approved samples, measurements, and design specifications
• Minimize rework, wastage, and errors through careful supervision

Inventory & Materials Management

• Track fabrics, trims, embroideries, and raw materials required for each order
• Coordinate with stores/purchase team to ensure timely availability of materials
• Monitor material usage and reduce wastage
• Ensure correct tagging and tracking of garments and components

Vendor & Karigar Management

• Manage and supervise in-house and outsourced karigars (tailors, embroiders, finishers)
• Allocate work efficiently based on skill and capacity
• Ensure adherence to timelines and quality standards from external vendors
• Resolve workmanship or delivery issues diplomatically and promptly

Dispatch & Documentation

• Ensure garments are properly finished, pressed, packed, and labeled for dispatch
• Coordinate dispatch schedules with logistics/store teams
• Maintain accurate production and dispatch records
• Ensure bridal garments are packed safely to avoid damage during transit

Reporting & Process Improvement

• Maintain daily/weekly production status reports
• Flag risks related to delays, material shortages, or quality issues in advance
• Suggest improvements to production processes to enhance efficiency and quality

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of bridal couture production, embroidery techniques, and tailoring

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma or degree in Fashion Design, Apparel Production, or a related field (preferred)
• 2–4 years of experience in production management within a bridal couture or luxury fashion brand
• Hands-on experience working with karigars, embroidery units, and couture tailoring
• Experience with made-to-measure or bespoke bridal orders is mandatory

Pay: From Rs50,000.00 per month
