Position Overview

Gilani Mobility is looking for a proactive and experienced Production Supervisor to manage daily operations within our fabrication and assembly workshop. The successful candidate will oversee production activities, coordinate workforce assignments, monitor materials and consumables, and ensure projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the required quality standards.

This position plays a vital role in coordinating activities between Production, Procurement, Maintenance, Engineering, and Management to support seamless operations and continuous improvement.

Key ResponsibilitiesProduction Operations

• Plan, assign, and supervise daily activities of welders, fabricators, and assembly personnel.
• Monitor production progress and ensure schedules and targets are achieved.
• Identify workflow bottlenecks and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure all work is performed according to technical drawings, specifications, and company standards.
• Prepare daily production, manpower, and progress reports.

Quality Assurance

• Conduct inspections of completed work to ensure compliance with quality requirements.
• Coordinate with Quality Control personnel to address defects and corrective actions.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and process standardization.
• Promote adherence to company procedures and quality standards.

Inventory & Material Control

• Monitor stock levels of raw materials, consumables, welding gases, tools, and PPE.
• Maintain accurate records of material consumption and inventory movements.
• Coordinate with warehouse personnel for material issuance and replenishment.
• Ensure material availability aligns with production requirements.

Procurement Coordination

• Prepare purchase requisitions for workshop consumables and operational materials.
• Coordinate with approved suppliers to ensure timely procurement and delivery.
• Verify received materials and maintain proper documentation and records.
• Assist in evaluating supplier performance related to workshop requirements.

Equipment Maintenance & Safety

• Report equipment malfunctions and coordinate maintenance activities.
• Support preventive maintenance programs to minimize production downtime.
• Enforce workplace safety policies and ensure proper PPE usage.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workshop environment.

Communication & Reporting

• Act as the primary communication channel between workshop personnel and management.
• Escalate operational challenges and resource requirements promptly.
• Participate in production planning and coordination meetings.
• Provide regular updates on production performance and workshop activities.

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
• Minimum 4–6 years of experience in fabrication, welding, manufacturing, or workshop operations.
• Previous experience in a supervisory or team leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication, welding processes, and assembly operations.
• Familiarity with quality management systems and workplace safety regulations.
• Excellent leadership, planning, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced production environment.
