Production Technician

The Production Technician is responsible for the accurate retrieving, weighing, and mixing chemical ingredients, transferring to storage tanks, and monitoring equipment during the chemical process. The Production Technician should possess a solid understanding of chemical processes and mechanics. Other daily tasks include, recording information about equipment and compounds, and assisting in product and process improvement.

The Production Technician should respond to requests in a timely manner and have a sharp eye for detail. Requires ability to follow directions and company procedures to eliminate the threat of workplace injuries and ensure packages are sent out accurately. Must be able to work in a team setting to meet company and individual goals.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for the accurate retrieving, weighing, and mixing chemical ingredients, transferring to storage tanks, and monitoring equipment during the chemical process.
Forklift Operating responsibilities including: moving and returning raw materials from storage area to mixing area. Relocating empty containers to designated storage area. Locating and moving stock of products to pallets or crates for storage or shipment. Identifying damages and report shortages or quality deficiencies.
Work with laboratory manager to ensure quality control targets are met.
Visually monitor inventory of raw materials to assist in preventing shortages.
Completing assigned process orders and submitting necessary paperwork for entry into database.
Troubleshooting issues with production equipment and processes.
Observing all company, local, state, and federal safety and quality regulations.
Follow warehouse safety guidelines and report any accidents, safety violation, or other concerns.
Assisting in planning and improving processes and product quality.
Working with other team members to ensure timely completion of the production process.
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma/GED required
Forklift experience required
Understanding of chemical processes
Aptitude for mechanics
Basic computer skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
