Production Technician - Audio/Lighting

Dune Productions is an award-winning Theatre in Education company based in the UAE and run by a team of British Producers.

As we expand and grow across the region, we are seeking to recruit a skilled and responsible AV Technician. We tour all over the UAE and perform in different auditoriums each and every day. This role would see the ideal candidate oversee the technical day-to-day operations of our touring show - coordinating the get in, fit up, sound check, the operating of the sound desk, following a script and triggering Qlab as required, managing FOH and monitor mixes, dealing with clients, and the get out: reporting to the technical director regarding any faults or suggestions.

We also have a busy events schedule, and this role would include work on these events when available.

The perfect candidate will have a strong working knowledge and keen interest in musical theatre productions, digital audio desks, radio mics, Qlab software, DMX, Projection/Video wall operation. UAE Driving Licence and experience in working around children. You must have no reason to fail a safeguarding check and police clearance certificate. Dune Productions works in schools. You must be able to confidently read and communicate in English

Working Conditions and Physical Effort

• Work normally performed in professional theatre. Requires working in tight spaces, under low light levels and at heights. Exposure to electrical wires.
• Moderate physical activity. Requires occasional lifting of up to 15 lbs. or transferring of objects up to 30 lbs, kneeling and reaching.
• Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Up to AED7,000.00 per month
