Production / Testing Engineer – Transformer Industry

Key Responsibilities:Production:

• Supervise transformer manufacturing processes (core building, coil winding, assembly, tanking, oil filtration).
• Monitor daily production schedules to ensure timely delivery.
• Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures and safety guidelines.
• Coordinate with design and purchase teams for material planning and utilization.
• Implement lean manufacturing, process improvement, and cost optimization.

Testing:

• Perform routine, type, and special tests on distribution/power transformers.
• Operate testing equipment: HV test set, Turns ratio meter, Tan Delta, Partial Discharge, etc.
• Prepare and maintain detailed test reports and documentation.
• Ensure transformers meet IS/IEC/ANSI/IEEE standards before dispatch.
• Assist in troubleshooting defects and failures during testing and at customer sites.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering.
• 2–6 years of experience in transformer production or testing.
• Strong knowledge of transformer manufacturing processes.
• Hands-on experience with transformer testing instruments.
• Familiarity with IS/IEC/ANSI standards for transformers.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lead a team of technicians/workers.

Preferred:

• Experience in Distribution & Power Transformers (up to 220 kV).
• Exposure to ISO, BIS audits, and quality systems.
• Knowledge of SAP / ERP for production tracking (optional).

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹55,000.00 per month
