The Production/Material Planner & Sales Support Coordinator plays a dual role in ensuring smooth operations between production planning and customer support. This position is responsible for forecasting demand, managing material flow, coordinating with procurement, and supporting sales through accurate and timely sales order entry. The goal is to optimize efficiency, maintain customer satisfaction, and minimize production disruptions.

Key Responsibilities

Production & Material Planning

• Demand Forecasting: Analyze sales data and market trends to predict future material needs and create accurate production plans.
• Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels of raw materials, WIP, and finished goods to prevent shortages or overstocking.
• Purchase Order Management: Collaborate with procurement to generate purchase orders for raw materials, ensuring timely delivery and cost-effectiveness.
• Production Scheduling: Develop and maintain production schedules aligned with demand forecasts and material availability.
• Material Planning: Use MRP systems to calculate precise material requirements.
• Supplier Relationship Management: Build and maintain supplier relationships to ensure reliable delivery and address supply chain issues.
• Data Analysis: Track KPIs related to inventory, lead times, and production efficiency.
• Continuous Improvement: Recommend and implement strategies to optimize material flow, reduce costs, and improve overall efficiency.

Sales Support Coordination

• Sales Order Entry: Process customer sales orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring all product and pricing details are correct.
• Order Tracking: Monitor and update order status, coordinating with production and shipping teams to meet customer deadlines.
• Customer Communication: Serve as a liaison between customers and internal teams to resolve order-related questions or issues.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of customer orders, changes, and confirmations in company systems.
• Collaboration: Work closely with sales, operations, and planning teams to align order fulfillment with production capacity.

Training & Development

All new hires will participate in an initial training period designed to familiarize them with the company’s specific processes, systems, and procedures. This hands-on training will ensure that the individual is fully equipped to manage both production planning and sales support responsibilities effectively.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
