Professional Billing Specialist

We are hiring a full-time billing and coding specialist for our busy multi-specialty clinic. We have Primary Care and Rheumatology as our primary specialties of focus. The ideal candidate will be a certified biller/coder and have at least 2 years' experience in Primary Care Billing. However, we are open to someone with less experience who is eager to learn and has a strong work ethic.

We are looking for a dedicated, task-oriented team player who can multitask and reason through claims issues while working with the team to complete tasks. Job duties include researching the providers notes to determine the best billing and coding scenarios to optimize revenue and HCC scoring as defined by CMS.

You will work closely with the Office Manager and billing/referral department to ensure timely processing of claims, denials, A/R, and payments. Our practice is a fully independent clinic, and we are part of the Aledade Accountable Care Organization. This position is 100% onsite. Our office Hours are Monday through Thursday 8-4:30 and Friday from 8-2:30 giving the candidate about a 37.5- 40 hour work week. Salary is negotiable based on relevant experience. Qualifications
- Proficiency in medical coding and billing
- Experience with EMR and EHR systems
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and records
- Familiarity with DRG, CPT, ICD-9, and ICD-10 coding
- Previous experience in medical collections and primary care settings
