THE POSITION

The Bureau of Enforcement and Investigation (BEI) is actively seeking dedicated individuals to join its team of professional conduct investigators. This vital role involves conducting thorough investigations into allegations concerning breaches of conduct standards, as well as violations of laws, rules, and regulations that pertain to 29 different licensing boards and commissions. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this role, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing investigations into claims of misconduct that breach the standards set forth by professional and occupational licensing boards and commissions under the Bureau of Professional and Occupational Affairs. You will collaborate closely with your supervisor and prosecuting attorneys to ensure comprehensive information gathering. This position requires travel to various locations within a designated geographic area to collect facts, review, and assess relevant information and documents. You will also manage legal documentation and may be called upon to provide testimony during hearings or legal proceedings. Conducting in-person interviews and producing detailed, accurate, and timely reports will be essential components of your duties. Proficiency with various office equipment and software is crucial for success in this position.

• Full-time employment
• Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
• Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Pittsburgh. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.
• Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

• Two years as a Regulatory Enforcement Inspector (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
• Five years of investigative experience; or
• One year of investigative experience and a bachelor's degree; or
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training that included one year of investigative experience.

• This particular position also requires possession of a valid Class C Driver's License.
