A leading international law firm is seeking a highly motivated attorney with 3-5 years of experience in insurance coverage matters. The role involves representing both domestic and international insurers in connection with a wide range of liability policies, including directors and officers (D&O), employment practices (EPL), professional liability (E&O), commercial general liability (CGL), and commercial auto liability policies.
This position is ideal for an attorney who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and is interested in handling complex and challenging insurance coverage issues.
Responsibilities:
Analyze insurance policies to assess rights and obligations of the parties, draft coverage opinions and position letters, and provide strategic coverage advice to clients.
Conduct thorough legal research and prepare detailed analyses and memoranda.
Draft and review pleadings, discovery materials, motions, briefs, and related correspondence.
Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and other stakeholders.
Participate in arbitrations, hearings, mediations, and related proceedings as needed.
Manage case deadlines, workflow, and client communications proactively.
Qualifications:
J.D. from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials.
Admission to the California Bar required; additional admissions are a plus.
2+ years of experience handling complex insurance coverage matters. Litigation experience is advantageous.
Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
Strong organizational and time management abilities with a proven capacity to handle multiple priorities.
Effective problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to manage sensitive and time-sensitive matters efficiently.
