Professional Pet Sitter and Dog Walker

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated, professional, Pet Sitter to join our team. Must be over the age of 18. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animals and provide exceptional care for pets in their owners' absence. Will serve the Matthews, Mint Hill, Indian Trail & Monroe areas in North Carolina by completing pet care appointments in the clients' homes. Must pass a background check, have a valid driver’s license and dependable vehicle. Considerable amount of driving is involved. Professional pet sitting references will be required. Preference will be given to individuals with weekend / holiday availability.

Pawsitive Vibes Pet Sitters are paid per appointment completed, therefore this is a great way to make supplemental income. We have busy weeks, and slow weeks. So, we can not guarantee that you will make a certain amount of money per week. Income fluctuates based on demand. The amount of income our pet sitters make depends on the number of appointments requested by our clients, and the number of appointments our pet sitters accept and complete.

Pawsitive Vibes Pet Sitters do NOT typically work in shifts. You may have 'gaps' between your appointments. For example, rather than completing back to back appointments from 4:00pm to 10:00pm, you may have an appointment at 4:00pm, 6:30pm, 8:00pm & 10:00pm. We would assign appointments to you (when we have them) during any time frame that you indicate that you are available to pick up appointments.

Responsibilities:
- Feed, walk, and play with pets according to provided schedules
- Must be able to safely handle and walk large breed dogs
- Administer medication if required
- Clean up after pets, including litter boxes and waste removal
- Follow specific instructions provided by pet owners regarding care routines
- Monitor pets for any health or behavioral changes and report concerns to the owner
- Working knowledge of email, internet and smartphones needed

Experience:
- Prior experience in pet sitting, animal care, or related field required
- Familiarity with pet care practices such as feeding schedules and exercise routines
- Ability to handle various animals with care and compassion
- Capability for heavy lifting if required
