Under general supervision, the CTL Program Assistant is responsible for monitoring and coordinating the day-to-day office activities of the program including providing services and program information to staff and students. The Program Assistant is dedicated to the learning college concepts by developing programs and facilitating activities that promote student success and lifelong learning.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
- Provide information concerning CTL and promote program as appropriate.
- Coordinate communication system including computer database and maintain accurate records for program.
- Maintain and update program registration information for students and faculty/staff.
- Compile periodic reports or other departmental materials required including gathering, analyzing data, and generating reports.
- Proof content of materials.
- Prepare letters, memos, documents, brochures, and/or reports from copy or rough draft following standard procedures as to composition some of which may be confidential in nature and maintains files.
- May attend meetings and record minutes.
- Process and follow through with all purchasing and payment requests made by the office.
- Responsible for room reservations/monitors and schedules program space.
- Performs a variety of duties that are specific to the office of assignment and that require knowledge of the procedures, functions, and software programs used by this office.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education/Experience
Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school required.
Three to twelve months related experience and/or equivalent training required.

Successful clerical proficiency testing for this position is required within 90 days of hire if not previously completed. This includes MS Office, typing, data entry, etc.

- Ability to exercise good judgment.
- Ability to type 40 words per minute.
- Ability to use computer technology and Microsoft Office.
