GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

In this challenging role, you will be supporting the SRC - Student Records department at Greenville Technical College. Duties may include any or all of the following.

Records Processing, Data Entry & Diploma Printing (25%)
  • Inputs and maintains student data in Colleague and related systems.
  • Processes forms such as applications, transcripts, and student requests.
  • Verifies documentation for completeness and accuracy.
  • Maintains confidentiality of student records in compliance with FERPA.
  • Prints diplomas, degrees, and certificates and communicates with recipients as needed.
Administrative Support (20%)
  • Provides clerical support to department staff and leadership.
  • Prepares reports, correspondence, and documentation as needed.
  • Assists with scheduling, filing, and office organization.
  • Supports departmental projects and initiatives.
  • Welcome Desk support as needed

Compliance & Policy Adherence (10%)

  • Ensures adherence to institutional policies and procedures.
  • Maintains knowledge of state and college regulations related to student records.
  • Assists with audits and compliance checks when needed.
Transcript Evaluation (35%)
  • Retrieves and logs transcripts and documents their receipt.
  • Reviews and processes transcripts for transfer credit, ensuring accurate entry and compliance with institutional policies and timelines.
  • Communicates with students via phone, email and face to face regarding trasncripts.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
A high school diploma and relevant program experience. A bachelor's degree may be substituted for the required program experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Two or more years of relevant experience in education. Prior knowledge of transcript evaluation.
