Loudoun County Department of Family Services seeks a dedicated and experienced professional for a Program Assistant role. The successful candidate will join the Child Protective Services program within the Department of Family Services, which envisions better health, safety, and well-being for all. We support individuals and families in the community to live their best lives while advocating for those most vulnerable and respecting their right to self-determination.
Loudoun County Department of Family Services (DFS) is seeking a qualified, dedicated professional to join our Child Protective Services (CPS) team as the Child Protective Services Program Assistant to provide administrative support to the CPS Program Manager and six supervisors, and ancillary support to the rest of the CPS program consisting of more than 40 direct service staff.
Successful candidates should be resourceful, self-motivated, well-organized, have great time management skills, be willing to work in a team environment and problem-solve independently.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
High School diploma or equivalent and two (2) years of related work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
PreferredCriminal background check required. Based on assigned program area a credit and/or DMV check may also be required. For DMV check, valid driver’s license and good driving record required (driving records may be reviewed annually for continued qualification).
For licensed programs, requirements include: Fingerprinting, TB test within 30 days of hire; pass Child Protective Services (CPS) check; hold or obtain First Aid/CPR certifications at hire or within four (4) months. Some programs may have additional legal requirements, credentials, or certifications to meet prior to hire or within the probationary period and/or annually.
