Within the Community Development Department, the Neighborhood Outreach Program Assistant will provide administrative and program support for the Neighborhood Outreach Team. The Program Assistant will work across city departments and with a wide range of community members to successfully plan and execute program-related events, analysis and other deliverables. The Neighborhood Outreach Team, through programming and direct outreach, builds community connection, strengthens relationships between neighborhoods and the City, and helps build civic participation and leadership, reflecting Bellevue’s unique population.
This position will be responsible for providing intermediate to advanced administrative and programmatic support. You may function in a lead role on ongoing work or special projects/assignments. Computer usage is frequent, and you must possess knowledge and experience in the application/operation of software programs that goes beyond basic word or Excell processing. Work may involve the development of moderately complex spreadsheets, presentations, reports, and outreach material.
This position is anticipated to work 16-24 hours per week, mainly in-person at work locations, primarily City Hall. Regular office, field, and remote hours will be agreed upon with the team, with adjustments to accommodate occasional evening and weekend events.
This position is part-time and funded through 2026.
