Program Manager II, Capacity and Demand Planning, Cloud Supply Chain

We are building a customer focused capacity planning team with the goal of providing a consistent, predictable and collaborative capacity experience for GCP customers. We are looking for Technical Program Managers (T/PgMs) with passion, technical and business depth, excellent organizational, communication skills to work with a set of stakeholders ranging from sales, customer engineering, professional services organization, product, engineering and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE). We are hiring a capacity demand planner who will work with Sales and GCP customers on complex capacity requests and help to improve capacity planning processes and tools by driving technical projects.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $132,000-$189,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Support account teams on complex and highly technical capacity requests from GCP’s largest existing and new customers and build relationships with GCP Product and Engineering teams to better understand the technical stack in order to triage in a timely manner.
  • Influence product design to ensure capacity requirements are taken into account through the product lifecycle and drive initiatives to design and implement capacity planning processes that drive improvements in performance, cost-effectiveness and customer experience for Cloud customers.
  • Analyze customer usage patterns and lead consensus demand planning processes with account teams to build long term demand forecasts that anticipate resource needs for long lead time products.
  • Identify and mitigate potential capacity bottlenecks through proactive monitoring and demonstrate operational excellence to minimize downtime and service disruptions for strategic customers and lead capacity review meetings with stakeholders.
