Project Assistant

Join a collaborative and detail-oriented team as a Project Assistant, supporting the project management and estimating teams throughout all phases of selected projectsfrom the initial bid phase through to project closeout and warranty. This role is essential in ensuring project accuracy, improving management efficiency, and maintaining organized documentation. The Project Assistant will gain exposure to a variety of project management processes and play a key role in supporting successful project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Assist the project management and estimating teams with all aspects of selected projects from bid phase through warranty period
• Research and investigate potential project leads
• Attend pre-bid and project-related field meetings as needed
• Support the preparation and review of front-end documents, take-offs, and proposal documents
• Obtain and review vendor quotes for accuracy
• Assist with project startup documentation, including contract documents, change order logs, submittal logs, and specification documents
• Compile and maintain drawing files and hard copies
• Track large purchases and long-lead critical path materials
• Assist in creating, distributing, and tracking submittals and change orders
• Help set up and process billing for tax-exempt or owner-purchased materials
• Assist in the creation and distribution of subcontracts and purchase orders
• Support monthly cost-to-complete activities
• Provide updated documents to field staff throughout the project
• Assist with project closeout documentation

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency with standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite)
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
• Interest in project management and construction processes
