Project Assistant - Commercial Flooring

Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Project Assistant to support our team in various administrative and project-related tasks. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of commercial flooring projects by providing essential administrative support and assisting with communication among team members. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

  • Assist in entering project costs from estimators' provided data
  • Creating and tracking Submittals and Close Out Documents
  • Ordering and tracking project materials
  • Communicating with the finance department to help manage cash flow projections
  • Managing weekly COR Logs
  • Perform data entry tasks accurately and efficiently, maintaining up-to-date project documentation.
  • Proofread documents for accuracy and clarity before distribution.
  • Serve as a point of contact for internal and external communications, facilitating effective information flow.
  • Utilize Microsoft 365 tools for document creation, collaboration, and sharing among team members.
  • Support clerical tasks such as filing, organizing materials, and maintaining project files.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a similar administrative role in the construction industry.
  • Proficient in data entry with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 programs is essential for document management.
  • Strong computer literacy skills with the ability to learn new software quickly.
  • Excellent proofreading skills to ensure high-quality documentation.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • Available for on site work Mon - Fri
