Project-Based Bookkeeper for Medical Practice – QuickBooks Online Setup & Migration

Location: St. Petersburg, FL (Remote acceptable); a candidate in the St. Petersburg/Tampa/Florida area is preferred, but open to all qualified candidates

Job Description:
Align Orthopaedic & Spine is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to assist with setting up QuickBooks Online and migrating our current accounting system from Excel spreadsheets into a properly structured QuickBooks Online environment. Scope of Work:

• Set up and configure QuickBooks Online
• Build and/or refine Chart of Accounts
• Migrate historical financial data from Excel into QuickBooks Online
• Reconcile accounts to ensure accuracy during transition
• Establish bank feeds and ensure proper categorization rules
• Provide recommendations for workflow improvements
• Offer brief training to internal staff (if needed)

Qualifications:

• Proven experience setting up and configuring QuickBooks Online
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
• Experience migrating financial data from spreadsheets into QBO
• Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines
• QuickBooks ProAdvisor certification preferred

Project Details:

• One-time project with potential for ongoing bookkeeping support
• Timeline: To be determined (prefer completion within 30–60 days)
• Compensation: Competitive flat project fee or hourly rate (please include your proposed rate in your application)
